Summer at Cascadilla House
The parkside location along Cascadilla Creek provides a tranquil environment and easy walking access to downtown Ithaca. The beautiful brick house is nicely renovated and very comfortable, with many appealing period details and a quiet garden. The Marteals are excellent hosts. I just wanted to say that I’ll always remember very fondly the nights I spent at the dining table, working on my novel . . . the decor, the house, the location (close to everything, even Gimme Coffee!), the shady color of light, the coziness of being up in the trees, the comfy bed, the big bathtub/shower! We loved all the toys that kept the kids busy! It was nice to have a/c, too–though the weather was very nice. The little room off the

Great porch! Well furnished, great location – close to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood. The cooling system worked surprisingly well, and I am impressed with the eco-friendly accommodation. Everyone in my party was wanting to come back… ~ Ben Lauffer, July 2008
